Supply and Maintenance of Robotic Spectrophotometer for COD Analysis

Description

Johannesburg Water is seeking a service provider for the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a robotic spectrophotometer system for Chemical Oxygen Demand analysis. The project aims to improve laboratory efficiency and safety through automation. The system must handle at least 40 to 48 samples per batch and process approximately 96 samples in an eight-hour shift. The contract spans 36 months and includes the provision of start-up chemicals, ongoing bi-annual supply of testing vials, and regular maintenance. The equipment must support standardized testing methods and be capable of achieving ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. The scope also covers the training of eight staff members and the provision of repair services as needed.

Requirements

• Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
• Must employ factory-trained personnel for maintenance and repairs
• Must possess ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation capability
• Calibration standards must be NIST traceable or equivalent
