Description
This tender is for the management and control of alien and invasive animal species within the City of Cape Town. The contract will run from approximately July 1, 2027, to June 30, 2030. The work includes controlling invasive small mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, and invertebrates using ethical and integrated methods.
Requirements
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license required.
- Firearm Competency Certificate/license for bolt-action rifle (Firearm Control Act).
- Valid Health and Safety qualification required.
- Valid First Aid Level 1 certificate required.
- Water safety certificate required.
- Wilderness Rope Access or IRATA course certificate required.
- Valid PCO Registration in Industrial Vegetation/Noxious Weeds (or similar).
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree and SAVC registration required.
- Valid CapeNature permit required.
- Relevant experience in controlling NEMBA-listed invasive animal species.
