Description
City Power Johannesburg (SOC) Ltd invites bids for the disposal of scrap materials, including metals, electrical equipment, transformers, and PVC. This three-year contract involves the collection, handling, and disposal of scrap from various sites to generate revenue. The successful bidder must provide all necessary transport, such as crane trucks and excavators, and ensure all operations follow strict safety and environmental regulations. Work must be performed during standard business hours. Bidders must achieve at least 80% in the functionality evaluation to qualify for further consideration. The contract may be awarded to up to three service providers.
Requirements
- Registered with a Scrap or Recycling Association
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate or SARS Pin
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration
- Proof of municipal rates or valid lease agreement
- Audited annual financial statements for the past three years
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Valid Waste Management License and COID registration
- Personnel competency, medical fitness, and valid operator licenses
- SHERQ management plans or ISO certifications
- Proof of ownership or lease for required vehicles and equipment
