Service provider for short-term insurance.

Description

Lejweleputswa District Municipality needs a service provider for short-term insurance for three years. The tender is for Contract No: RFP 04/05/2026. The closing date is June 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Bids must be valid for 90 days after closing.

Requirements

• Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit required before bidding.
• Municipal Billing Clearance Certificate required; not in arrears for more than 90 days.
• Valid SARS Tax Clearance Certificate and tax compliance status pin required before bidding.
• National Treasury Central Supplier Database Summary report required before bidding.
• Must be a South African based Insurer and Intermediary.
• SANAS approved ISO 9001 Certification for Insurance Brokering and Risk Services required.
• Financial Services Board (FSB) registration required.
• Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA) registration required.
• The Institute of Risk Management – South Africa (IRMSA) registration required.
• Reference letters for similar work (minimum value R 500,000.00) in past 5 years required.
• Minimum of three written testimonials from clients required.
• Must be compliant in tax matters with SARS.
• Must not be listed on the Register of Tender Defaulters.
• Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database before bidding.
• Not in arrears for more than 90 days with municipal rates and taxes.
• Professional Indemnity Insurance: Contract Value plus 10%.
• Public Liability Insurance: R1,000,000.00 per any single claim.
