Description
The Western Cape Government Mobility Department is seeking a service provider for a three-year framework contract. The project involves the design, supply, fitment, removal, and re-installation of emergency lights and sirens on government vehicles. Work will be performed on an as-needed basis, primarily at the Maitland facility or an approved bidder site. Key deliverables include installing light bars, sirens, and LED modules, as well as creating prototypes within five days of a request. The contractor must be able to process at least four vehicles per day. Bidders must have at least five years of relevant industry experience and maintain a fitment center within 50 kilometers of the Maitland site. This contract is based on unit rates, with prices fixed for the first year and subject to inflation adjustments thereafter.
Requirements
- Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS)
- Business insurance with minimum R1 million coverage per claim
- Proof of access to credit facilities of at least R500,000
- Secure, alarmed, and monitored fitment facility
- Compliance with SANS/EN 61000-6-1 and SANS/EN 61000-6-3 standards
