Description
The Nkomazi Local Municipality invites bids for the appointment of an electrical contractor to handle the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment in Marloth Park, Hectorspruit, and Komatipoort. The project scope includes replacing transformers, installing underground medium voltage cables, and performing general electrical infrastructure upgrades such as trenching and pole planting. The municipality will provide bulk materials, while the contractor is responsible for transport, safeguarding, and installation. Bidders must have at least five years of experience in medium voltage switchgear installations. Key personnel, including a Contracts Manager, Site Agent, and Safety Officer, must meet specific registration and experience requirements. The project requires the use of specialized plant equipment like crane trucks and excavators. Requirements
- Must hold CIDB grading of 3EP or higher
- Must be a Department of Labour registered Electrical Contractor
- Key personnel must hold relevant ECSA, SACPCMP, or Electrician certifications
- Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Must provide valid Tax Clearance or SARS PIN
- Must provide B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Must provide bank rating letter as proof of financial standing
- Must provide proof of relevant project experience via completion certificates
