Description
Iziko Museums of South Africa invites bids for a conservator to assist with the 'Materiality' exhibition. The work will take place at the Iziko South African National Gallery in Cape Town. The project lasts ten months, with specific on-site assistance required between 13 July 2026 and 14 August 2026. Key tasks include assessing 110 artworks, writing condition reports, performing minor conservation work, and advising on the installation of paintings, textiles, and sculptures. The service provider will work closely with the internal Iziko conservation team on a part-time basis.
Requirements
- Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Must possess a valid Tax Compliance Status Pin
- Must provide a valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Must provide evidence of relevant project track record
- Personnel must hold verifiable academic qualifications and references
