Description

The South African Post Office Limited is seeking a qualified plumber to re-route the water supply at the George Post Office, located at 95 York Street, Western Cape. The project involves trenching and laying new Class 10 PVC or HDPE pipes from the municipal water meter to the building’s main supply point. Key deliverables include installing a tracer wire for future detection, ensuring trenches are between 450mm and 600mm deep, and ensuring all work adheres to municipal bylaws and SANS 10252 standards. The contractor must coordinate with the municipality to obtain necessary compliance certificates upon completion. A compulsory site visit is scheduled for 4 June 2026 at 11:00. All proposals must be submitted by 9 June 2026 at 11:00. The successful bidder must provide all labor, materials, and equipment required to complete the installation.

Requirements

  • Valid Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD MAAA number
  • Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database
  • Valid CIDB registration (Category 1SO)
  • Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
  • Public Liability Insurance with minimum R200,000 coverage
  • Valid B-BBEE certificate or signed Sworn Affidavit
  • Attendance at the compulsory site visit
