Description
The City of Cape Town invites proposals for the sale and development of affordable housing on vacant Erf 555, Khayelitsha. This project is part of the Land Release for Small-Scale Rental Programme, aiming to increase affordable rental stock and support township economic growth. The site is zoned for residential use with a maximum height of two storeys. Developers must provide affordable housing for households earning between R1,050 and R10,320 per month. The project must be completed within 36 months. Bidders must submit a financial offer for the land and a feasibility study. Incentives such as development charge subsidies and relaxed building lines are available. A site visit is scheduled for 4 June 2026, and the final submission deadline is 12 June 2026.
