Purchase and removal of scrap materials at Hendrina.

Description

Eskom is seeking offers for the purchase, collection, and removal of scrap ferrous materials at Hendrina Power Station. The contract will be for six months. The successful contractor will purchase and remove scrap metals (steel, sub-grade materials, CTs, VTs, steel cages, porcelain, rubber, reclosers/breakers, insulators, isolators, and line hardware). The disposal will be on an "as and when" basis, with work instructions issued to the contractor.

Requirements

• Valid SARS Tax Clearance Certificate required before bidding.
• Affidavit/B-BBEE certificate confirming B-BBEE contribution level required before bidding.
• Secondhand goods certificate/license from SAPS required.
• CIPRO Registration Documents required before bidding.
• Proof of CSD registration on National Treasury’s database required before bidding.
• Valid Letter of Good Standing with COID required.
• Vehicle operator must have valid PrDP-D for Goods conveyance License.
• Transportation Company must have Waste Transporter Registration Certificate.
• Vehicle must have waste transportation registration with local Municipality.
• Waste storage license/registration with the authority required for waste storage facility.
• Registration with SAWIS or GWIS required for waste storage.
• Eskom contractor must comply with Health and Safety standard 32-136.
• Must comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
• Must comply with Compensation for Occupational Diseases and Illnesses Act 130 of 1993.
• Registration as professionals with the SACPCMP required (where applicable).
• Statutory appointments must comply with legislative requirements and Eskom Standard 32-296.
• SANAS-accredited and DOL-approved inspection authority assessments required.
• Must comply with Construction Regulation 15 (for tunnelling activities).
• Must comply with SANS 1186 for signs and notices.
