Purchase and removal of scrap materials at Camden Power Station.

Description

Eskom is seeking offers for the purchase, collection, and removal of empty scrapped cans, bottles, and used papers from Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga. The contract will last for 36 months on an as-needed basis. The purchaser is responsible for the safe handling, removal, and transportation of the materials.

Requirements

• Valid SARS Tax Clearance Certificate required before bidding.
• B-BBEE Affidavit or Verification Certificate required before bidding.
• Must have a Secondhand goods certificate/license from SAPS.
• Registration on National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) required before bidding.
• Valid Letter of Good Standing with COID required.
• SHE policy signed by CEO/MD complying with OHS Act Section 7 or ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.
• Valid Letter of Good Standing with COID, FEMA or RMA required.
• Registration with South African Police Services as Second hand dealer and Recycler.
• Environmental policy signed by top management committing to environmental compliance.
• Emergency preparedness procedure/plan specific to environmental emergencies required.
• Waste management plan detailing handling, storage, transport, recycling, and reuse.
• Environmental Management Plan including method statements for each activity.
• Environmental Risk Assessment including Aspects and Impacts required.
• Proof of Training of employees on environmental risks required.
• Hazardous Substances and Material Register for each chemical and hazardous material required.
• Safety Data Sheet for each hazardous / chemical waste stream required.
