Appointment of Electrical Engineering Firms for Meter Management

Description

This tender is for appointing electrical engineering firms to manage electricity meter processes, technical audits, repairs, replacements, and maintenance of electricity meters for the City of Ekurhuleni. The contract lasts from the award date until June 30, 2029. The work includes managing new meter installations, repairs, replacements, AMR processes, and credit control for conventional and prepaid meters.

Requirements

• CSD registration compliance required.
• CIDB registration required if applicable.
• Provide appointment/reference letter confirming experience managing 3,000 AMR meters and 50,000 small power users for 12 months.
• Subcontractors: Provide appointment letter and reference letter indicating meters managed.
• Provide proof of registration and good standing with the Compensation Commissioner.
• Provide proof of access to credit/financing of at least R6,000,000.
• Provide proof of ownership/lease for Cherry Picker and Five (5) Light-Duty Vehicles (LDVs).
• Provide NQF Level 7 Degree in Accounting, Valid Trade Test Certificate, and other qualifications.
• Provide ECSA Registration Certificate as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist.
• Provide Certificate in Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS) accredited by ESETA.
