This document outlines the requirements for obtaining the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI). This is a professional certification program rather than a traditional procurement tender. The certification validates expertise in three domains: People, Process, and Business Environment. Candidates must demonstrate professional experience in leading and directing projects. The process involves an application, an audit of professional experience and education, and the successful completion of a 180-question examination. Candidates must meet specific educational and work experience thresholds, such as 36 months of project management experience for degree holders or 60 months for those with a secondary degree. All candidates must also complete 35 contact hours of formal project management education.
