Description
The South African Post Office (SAPO) is seeking a qualified architect to provide heritage building architect services for roof sheeting repairs and replacement in Durban. The architect will assess the roofing elements, determine the replacement methodology, and assist in obtaining necessary approvals. The project involves two phases: assessment and methodology, and implementation management. A compulsory briefing session will be held on May 22, 2026, and the closing date for submissions is June 3, 2026.
Requirements
- Valid SARS tax clearance certificate or PIN required before bidding.
- CSD registration required before bidding.
- SACAP registration and valid membership certificate required.
- SACAP Statement of Good Standing required.
- Accreditation/approval from a Heritage Council (preferably AMAFA) required.
- Demonstrate experience with heritage building structure assessments.
- Registration for Compensation for Occupational Injuries required.
- B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit required before bidding.
