Description
The Department of Transport, Government Fleet Management Services (GFMS) invites bids for the provision of hygiene and cleaning services over a thirty-six-month period. The work will take place at the GFMS offices in Beacon Bay and the East London Government Garage. Key deliverables include general internal and external cleaning, deep cleaning, fumigation, and the maintenance of yard areas. The service provider must also supply, install, and maintain hygiene equipment such as soap dispensers and sanitary bins. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for providing trained personnel, including one supervisor and ten general staff members, while ensuring compliance with the National Minimum Wage. The project requires a firm-price bid covering all materials, equipment, and labor costs. A compulsory site inspection is scheduled for 05 June 2026, and the final submission deadline is 26 June 2026.

- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN
- Functional office within 50 km radius of East London
- Evidence of two previous one-year hygiene and cleaning contracts
- Proof of available cleaning equipment and materials
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- Proof of UIF registration
- Proof of R1 million liability insurance coverage
- Contract with a waste management company for sanitary bins
- Police clearance reports for all staff
- SAQA evaluation certificates for foreign qualifications
