The South African Post Office (SAPO) invites tenders for roof waterproofing services at the Selcourt Depot, located at 23 Chartherland Springs, Gauteng. The project involves preparing a 488 m² concrete roof slab and applying new Derby gum torch waterproofing, followed by two coats of protective bituminous aluminium coating. The successful contractor must complete all works within a five-week period. Key deliverables include the provision of a safety file, a risk analysis, a work schedule, and a guarantee for the installed waterproofing. All work must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant SANS standards. Bidders are required to attend a compulsory site briefing to ensure all pricing aligns with the provided Bill of Quantities. The tender is valid for 120 days from the closing date of 18 June 2026.
Requirements
- Minimum CIDB grading of 1 GB
- Must be registered on the National Treasury CSD
- Valid tax compliance status
- Public liability insurance cover of at least R1 million
- Valid COIDA registration or certificate
- Documented waterproofing experience within the last two years
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Attendance at the compulsory site briefing
