Description
The City of Cape Town invites tenders for the collection of dry recyclables from over 100,000 households in the North-Eastern metropolitan area and the operation of the Kraaifontein Waste Management Facility. The contract spans 60 months. Key deliverables include weekly kerbside waste collection, sorting and processing of recyclables at the facility, and the implementation of a public awareness program. The service provider must manage facility maintenance and ensure residual waste remains below 15%. The project requires a fleet of vehicles no older than seven years and the submission of monthly operational and labour reports. The contract commences within one month of the official order.
Requirements
- Registered on CCT Supplier Database and National Treasury CSD
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- Valid COID Act registration with Compensation Commissioner
- Public liability insurance of at least R20 million
- Valid Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance
- Accredited waste management service provider per City of Cape Town bylaws
- PSiRA registration for all security personnel
- Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act
