Description
The Water Research Commission (WRC) invites bids for the supply, installation, and maintenance of an integrated security system at its Pretoria offices. The project includes installing CCTV cameras, palm wave biometric readers, access control cards, boom gates, and a web-based visitor management system. The successful bidder will also provide hardware such as computers, UPS backup systems, and key cabinets. The scope covers the full lifecycle of the security infrastructure, including testing, commissioning, staff training, and a 24-month maintenance service level agreement. Work will take place at the WRC premises in Lynnwood, Pretoria. Bidders must attend a compulsory site briefing on 9 June 2026. The project requires a high level of technical expertise in electronic security systems and project management to ensure the site is fully secured and operational.
Requirements
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- PSIRA registration for company and directors
- Valid SAIDSA certificate
- Valid COIDA certificate
- Public Liability Insurance of at least R3 million
- B-BBEE status verification certificate or sworn affidavit
- CIPC business registration documents
- Directors and technical staff must be South African citizens
- Accreditation letter from the software developer
- OEM training certificates for equipment
- Five reference letters for similar projects
- Attendance at the compulsory site briefing
