Description
Transnet National Ports Authority invites bids for the provision of mobile crane hire and rigging services at the Port of Cape Town Ship Repair facilities. The contract covers a three-year period on an as-and-when-required basis. The scope includes supplying various mobile cranes ranging from 35 to 220 tons, along with qualified operators and rigging personnel for maintenance and heavy equipment installation. The contractor must ensure rapid response times, including two-hour emergency call-outs. All equipment maintenance and mechanical repairs remain the responsibility of the service provider. The work will be performed at the Sturrock Dry Dock, Robinson Dry Dock, and the Syncrolift facility.
Requirements
- Registered on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate and SARS TCS PIN
- Valid B-BBEE Certificate or Sworn Affidavit
- Valid Letter of Good Standing (Workmen’s Compensation Fund)
- Lifting Machinery Entity (LME) registration from Department of Employment and Labour
- Proof of ownership or intent for required crane equipment
- Valid professional motor vehicle and marine/protection indemnity insurance
- Three years of audited financial statements
- Certified qualifications for riggers and crane drivers
