Description
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Public Works and Infrastructure invites bids for the provision of 24-hour security services at the Amawele building in the eThekwini Region. The contract will run for a period of 36 months. Key deliverables include access and exit control, perimeter patrolling, CCTV monitoring, and the management of security registers. The service provider must maintain a functional 24-hour operational branch and provide necessary security equipment, including radios, torches, and a dedicated vehicle. The project requires a specific staffing complement of Grade B and Grade C security guards for both day and night shifts. A compulsory briefing session will be held on 15 June 2026 at the Mayville Regional Office. All bids must be submitted by 11:00 on 01 July 2026.
Requirements
- Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN
- Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Entity PSIRA registration and owner/director Grade A or B grading
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- Proof of registration with the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF)
- Proof of registration with Private Security Sector Provident Fund (PSSPF)
- Valid ICASA license or radio equipment registration
- Public Liability Insurance policy of at least R10,000,000
- Proof of ownership for at least five company vehicles
- Evidence of three completed contracts, one valued at R5 million or more
- Military Veterans certificate and database registration
- Signed confirmation of adherence to PSIRA wage rates
