Description
The Department of Agriculture in the Eastern Cape is seeking tenders for the revitalization of the irrigation system at the Qamata Irrigation Scheme, located in the Intsika Yethu Local Municipality. The work includes refurbishing a 3-span center pivot, repairing a centrifugal pump, supplying a 30 kW electrical motor, installing a sprinkler system, electrifying the system, and commissioning the system. The project is expected to take 18 weeks to complete. A compulsory site inspection will be held on 18 May 2025.
Requirements
- Valid CIDB registration in 2CE/2SH class or higher.
- Company/Contractor registration with SABI.
- Registration on National Treasury Centralized Suppliers Database (CSD).
- Tax compliance status in order with SARS.
- Workman’s Compensation Registration Certificate or good standing.
- Minimum of three written contactable references for completed projects.
- Supervisory staff: NQF level 4 in Civil Engineering; Site Agent/Manager: NQF level 5.
