Description
Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd invites tenders for the hiring, installation, and operation of suspended platforms and mobile lifts at Kriel Power Station. This is a five-year term service contract (NEC3 Option A) on an as-and-when-required basis. The work involves supporting boiler maintenance, high-pressure pipework repairs, and turbine plant operations. Key deliverables include the supply of qualified operators, technicians, and safety personnel, along with all necessary equipment. The contractor must adhere to strict response times, including 12-hour mobilization during outages and 2-hour emergency response. The project requires full compliance with Eskom’s Life-Saving Rules, ISO 9001 quality standards, and ISO 14001 environmental management. All work must be performed in accordance with SANS 51808 and SANS 10295-2 standards for suspended access equipment.
Requirements
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Valid CIDB grading
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification
- Proof of national department approval for suspended platform work
- Valid Working at Heights certificates for all personnel
- Proof of personnel competency for supervisors and operators
- Design compliance certificates signed by a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng)
