Description
NTCSA seeks information on refurbishing Control and Protection systems for a 275 kV / 11 kV ±50 MVAR STATCOM at Garona substation in the Northern Cape. The goal is to assess supplier capabilities, methodologies, costs, and timelines for the refurbishment. The STATCOM operates in harsh conditions. NTCSA may engage with suppliers to discuss the RFI requirements further.
Requirements
- Successful completion of STATCOM refurbishment projects (±30 MVAr, ≥220 kV) for transmission utilities.
