The City of Cape Town is inviting tenders for the issuance of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for various municipal buildings. The project covers five categories of buildings, ranging from those with existing data to those requiring site visits and assessments. Key deliverables include inception reports, detailed EPC assessment reports, quarterly and annual progress reports, and the final issuance of digital EPCs. The contract will span a period of 60 months. The work involves data analysis, calculations, and site inspections to ensure compliance with energy standards. The tender aims to appoint three service providers to manage these assessments over the five-year term. The closing date for this tender is 10 November 2026.

• CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
• Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
• Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

Full requirements

• Registered on CCT Supplier Database and National Treasury CSD
• Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
• At least one EPC Professional registered with SANEDI
• Public Liability (R20m) and Motor Vehicle Liability insurance
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• PSiRA registration for all security personnel
