The City of Joburg Property Company invites contractors to join a panel for general building repairs, maintenance, and minor upgrades. This work will take place across the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. The contract will last for three years. Successful bidders will handle tasks such as masonry, roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and external site works. This opportunity is strictly for contractors with a CIDB Grade 2 to 4 in General Building. A compulsory briefing session will be held on 30 September 2026. The final deadline for all submissions is 21 October 2026.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- CIDB grading (Grade 4 General Building (4GB)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.

- Active CIDB Grade 2 to 4 GB certification
- Valid Public Liability Insurance
- Proof of COIDA or FEM registration
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN
- Proof of CSD registration
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Proof of up-to-date municipal accounts or valid exemption
- Company registration documents
- Attendance at compulsory briefing session
