The Agricultural Research Council invites bids for the supply, delivery, and installation of an automated irrigation system at the Eiland Agriculture Research Station in Upington, Northern Cape. The project involves installing two automated control systems, an 8-station controller, solenoid valves, soil moisture sensors, pressure pumps, electronic water meters, and climate sensors. Additionally, the contractor must install a 20,000L water tank and integrate all components with existing infrastructure. A compulsory site briefing is scheduled for 22 July 2026 to finalize technical piping requirements. The project must be completed by the appointed service provider, who is also required to provide warranty details and proof of relevant experience.
