Foskor Mine is inviting bids for a three-year contract to provide civil minor works and building maintenance services at their Phalaborwa location. The scope of work includes masonry, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and the provision of plant equipment. The service provider is responsible for supplying all necessary tools, labor, and materials to complete tasks such as excavations, roof repairs, and plumbing installations. Key deliverables include maintaining a 95% service level, providing monthly progress reports, and submitting as-built drawings in AutoCAD format. The contractor must attend to breakdown maintenance within three hours of notification. The contract requires adherence to strict safety and quality standards, including the use of qualified artisans and compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act. The project will be managed through Foskor’s JDE system, and the successful bidder must be prepared for annual price reviews and performance monitoring.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- CIDB grading (Grade 3 Civil Engineering (3CE)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Valid COIDA certificate
- Beneficial ownership certificate from CIPC
- Qualified site supervisors and SHE representatives per Mine Health and Safety Act
