The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure invites structural engineering consultants to submit an Expression of Interest for the Morena Tshohisi Moloi II Primary School project in Harrismith, Free State. The scope involves providing professional structural engineering services from Stage 5 (Contract Administration and Inspection) through to Stage 6 (Close-out). The school is currently 30% complete and includes 28 classrooms, a media centre, science lab, administration block, nutrition centre, hall, and sports facilities. The project duration is 18 months. A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on 31 July 2026 at the school site.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN
- Valid CSD registration report
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- CIPC company registration certificate
- ECSA registration as a Professional Structural Engineer
- Professional Indemnity Insurance of at least R5 million
- Attendance at the compulsory clarification meeting
