The Overberg Water Board is seeking contractors for the hire of plant and equipment, including earthmoving machinery and honey sucker services, on an as-needed basis. This work will take place across the Western Cape, specifically in Swellendam, Caledon, and Heidelberg. The contract will run for a period of 36 months. Successful bidders must be able to deploy equipment to project sites within four hours for emergency requests or five working days for standard orders. The scope includes providing the equipment, operators, fuel, and transport. Bidders must meet a minimum technical functionality score of 60 points and demonstrate proximity to the water treatment plants.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
