The Western Cape Government Mobility Department is seeking a panel of professional mediators to provide conflict resolution services for the public transportation sector. This includes working with minibus taxi associations, e-hailing services, and bus operators across the Western Cape Province. The successful bidders will be appointed for a three-year framework contract to perform fact-finding, stakeholder consultation, and administrative reporting on an ad hoc basis. Key deliverables include conducting mediation sessions, attending meetings, and submitting detailed close-out reports for all assigned cases. The work will be performed on a rates-only basis, with services required throughout the province.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
Full requirements
- Accredited with South African Dispute Settlement Accreditation Council (DiSAC)
- Minimum five years commercial mediation experience
- Physical office within 50km of Cape Town CBD
- Registered on Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS)
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Three contactable professional references
