Description

Air Chefs is seeking a panel of service providers to perform fleet inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repairs for a fleet of 37 vehicles. The work will take place at airport facilities in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban. The contract will run for a period of 24 months on an as-and-when required basis. Key deliverables include scheduled mechanical repairs, tyre and battery services, breakdown recovery, and airside emergency response within 15 to 30 minutes. Service providers must provide monthly maintenance reports, repair logs, and photographic evidence of work performed. All labour and parts must carry a 12-month warranty. The project requires strict adherence to airport safety regulations and airside operational procedures to ensure aircraft operations are not obstructed.

What you need to qualify

• CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
• Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
• B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
• Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

• Valid airside or tarmac access permits for personnel and vehicles
• Proof of ownership or lease for a breakdown vehicle
• Possession of required mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment
• Qualified mechanics, panel beaters, and hydraulic technicians with valid trade certificates
• Three contactable reference letters for similar work
• Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
