The National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA) is inviting tenders for the provision of environmental waste management services across the Northern Grid, covering the North West, Gauteng, and Limpopo provinces. The contract will run for a period of 36 months on an 'as and when required' basis. Key deliverables include hazardous waste disposal (such as oil, sludge, and chemicals), septic tank drainage, oil spill containment and remediation, and the supply of waste management equipment like spill kits and bins. Successful bidders will also be responsible for providing on-the-job training to NTCSA staff regarding spill response and waste handling. The work involves multiple substation sites and requires strict adherence to environmental legislation and Eskom’s internal safety and quality standards. A maximum of four suppliers will be appointed to cover the specified geographic sections.

- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- CIDB grading — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
