Eskom Holdings SOC Limited is inviting tenders for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of rooftop and ground-mounted Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at Enoch Sontonga Senior Secondary School, Freemantle Boy’s High School, and Mqikela Senior Secondary School. The project aims to reduce carbon footprints, provide continuous power during grid outages, and support peak energy shaving. Key deliverables include structural roof assessments, installation of PV modules and hybrid inverters, electrical wiring, and the provision of comprehensive O&M plans and training. The tender (Reference: E3651DXECOU) has a closing date of 03 November 2026 at 10:00 AM. A compulsory clarification meeting is scheduled for 15 October 2026 via MS Teams.

What you need to qualify

• CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
• Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

Full requirements

• Valid CSD registration and COIDA Letter of Good Standing
• Relevant industry certifications: PV GreenCard, Wireman’s Licence, or ECSA registration
• ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System
• Proof of completion for two similar previous projects
• Attendance at the compulsory clarification meeting
