The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is seeking a service provider to supply and install two security X-ray baggage scanning machines at their Pretoria Regional Office in Hatfield. The machines must meet specific technical standards, including a tunnel size of 500mm by 300mm, high-resolution monitoring, and the ability to detect 41 classes of prohibited goods. The contract includes a 3-year warranty for the equipment. Services must commence immediately upon the issuance of a Purchase Order. Deliveries are to be made to the RAF reception in Hatfield during standard business hours, Monday to Friday. This tender is evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system, applicable for values up to R1,000,000.00. All pricing must be quoted in South African Rand and include VAT. The RAF will only conduct business with suppliers who are fully compliant with tax and registration requirements.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- VAT registration — A registered VAT vendor number with SARS.
