The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is seeking a service provider to perform monthly pest control services at their Durban offices, located at the Embassy Building on Anton Lembede Street. The contract will run for a period of 12 months, starting in October 2026. The scope of work covers approximately 7,200 square meters across multiple floors, including the ground floor and levels 8 through 12. Key deliverables include regular spraying and gel application in all kitchen areas, the use of chemicals that meet South African National Standards, and the provision of a service certificate after every visit. Bidders must also provide Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used. This project is evaluated under the 80/20 preference point system, and all pricing must be quoted in South African Rand and include VAT.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- VAT registration — A registered VAT vendor number with SARS.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Valid SARS Tax Compliance status
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing for pest control and cleaning
- Valid Pest Control Operator registration with the Department of Agriculture
- Minimum of two signed client reference letters
