Management of Driver Camera System for Eskom Fleet.

Description

Eskom Rotek Industries is seeking a service provider for the supply, installation, and management of a driver camera system for a fleet of 2,500 vehicles. The project will run for a 60-month period across all nine South African provinces. The scope includes monthly rental, maintenance, and monitoring of dash cameras, as well as ad-hoc technical support such as de-installation and re-installation. The system must feature dual-view recording, GPS tracking, driver fatigue monitoring, and facial recognition. The solution must provide event-driven video footage, automated reporting, and secure data storage compliant with South African judicial standards. The contractor is responsible for providing a national support footprint, including a 48-hour repair turnaround time. The project aims to improve driver behavior, safety, and incident investigation capabilities. The tender requires adherence to strict technical specifications, including ICASA standards and VESA/VSS association membership.

Full requirements

• Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
• Must have valid SARS tax compliance status
• Must hold relevant industry certifications (ICASA, VESA, or VSS)
• Must demonstrate national service footprint across all nine provinces
• Must provide five CVs of VESA or VSS certified technical staff
• Must provide proof of COIDA registration
• Must provide audited financial statements for the previous 18 months
