Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is inviting tenders for the supply and delivery of fire detection spares for the Kendal Power Station. The contract will run for a period of five years. The scope of work includes the supply of various fire detection components, such as pressure gauges, switches, detectors, modules, and control panels, which must be compatible with existing Aritech and Techno-switch systems. The work will take place at the Kendal Power Station in Mpumalanga. Bidders must ensure all materials are tested, certified, and warranted for use in South Africa. The contract is governed by the NEC3 Supply Contract framework.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Valid SAQCC (Fire) company registration
- Registered on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or certificate
- ISO 9001:2015 certification or equivalent evidence
- Proof of similar work completed within the last 5 years
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
