Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager is seeking a contractor to repair an 88/6.6 kV 1MVA transformer at the Wesselsnek distribution substation. The project involves transporting the unit, rewinding the windings, reassembling, oil purification, and on-site testing and commissioning. The work is expected to be completed within eight weeks, starting from 30 November 2026. Bidders must attend a compulsory clarification meeting on 27 October 2026 in Ladysmith. The contract follows the NEC3 Term Service model, and the total project duration is three months.
