The successful bidder is responsible for the collection, removal, and site cleanup of the transformer. The work must be completed within 7 working days from the date the disposal agreement is approved. A compulsory site clarification meeting is scheduled for 20 October 2026 at 11h00 at the Rockdale Substation. The tender is a once-off agreement and the transformer is sold as-is. The bidder must pay the full tender amount to Eskom three days before the collection date.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Must hold a valid Second-Hand Goods Act certificate or license
- Must possess a valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- Must provide a valid Tax Clearance Certificate or SARS e-filing PIN
- Must provide CIPC company registration documents
