Description

This tender is issued by PRASA for the supply and delivery of six 44 kV metal-oxide gapless surge arresters for the Metrorail Gauteng region. The equipment is required to protect substation infrastructure from lightning and electrical surges. The work must be completed in accordance with SANS 60099-4 and Transnet Freight Rail standards. The successful bidder must deliver the units to the Metrorail Electrical depot in Germiston within four weeks of appointment. Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in similar supply projects completed within the last five years. The contract includes a 12-month warranty period for all supplied materials. All pricing must be fixed and firm, with no allowance for price escalation. The tender uses an 80/20 preference point system to evaluate bids.
