Description

Sentech SOC Limited is inviting bids for the appointment of additional contractors to an existing panel of pre-qualified service providers. The work involves the supply and construction of structural steel towers and monopoles, ranging from 20m to 60m in height. Key deliverables include the manufacture, delivery, assembly, and erection of towers, as well as the construction of reinforced concrete foundations and ancillary works like lightning protection and earthing. The work will take place at various Sentech sites, often located in remote or mountainous areas requiring 4x4 vehicle access. The contract duration is coterminous with the existing three-year panel agreement. Work is allocated on an ad-hoc basis via a Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.

  • CIDB grading (Grade 2 Civil Engineering (2CE))A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
  • Letter of Good StandingCOID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
  • Other registrationAn industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

Full requirements

  • Valid CIDB grading of 2CE or higher and 2SL or higher
  • Valid Workmen Compensation Letter of Good Standing
  • Riggers must hold Red Seal or SAQA NQF level 4
  • Foremen must hold N6 qualification
  • Safety Officers must be registered with SACPCMP
  • Personnel must hold IRATA or SPRAT Level 3 climbing certifications
  • Must hold valid public liability and works insurance
  • Must have valid Tax Compliance Status
  • Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
