Lease of Premises at Port of Richards Bay.

Description

Transnet National Ports Authority invites proposals for the five-year lease of a 343.50m² canteen and ablution facility located at Sub 45 (of 8) Lot 5333, Bayvue Precinct, Port of Richards Bay. The premises are leased on an 'as is' basis, and the successful bidder is responsible for all necessary refurbishments and maintenance at their own cost. The facility is intended for use as a canteen and ablution block. Prohibited activities include hazardous chemical storage, truck staging, refueling, and container handling. A non-compulsory briefing session will be held on 21 October 2026. The closing date for submissions is 20 November 2026 at 16:00. Bidders must provide a business plan, financial standing, and relevant operational experience.

What you need to qualify

• CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
• Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
• B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
• Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

Full requirements

• Registered on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
• Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN
• Minimum two years relevant operational experience with two reference letters
• Minimum Level 4 B-BBEE status
• Valid Public Liability Insurance
• Valid Electrical Certificate of Compliance (SANS 10142-1:2003)
