Transnet is seeking a private sector partner for the Ngqura Manganese Export Corridor project. This initiative aims to expand South Africa's manganese export capacity through the Port of Ngqura. The project is divided into two parts: one for the development and operation of the export terminal and rail haulage, and another for the rehabilitation and maintenance of approximately 1,100 kilometers of rail infrastructure. Interested parties must show they have the technical, financial, and operational experience to manage these large-scale logistics and infrastructure assets. The partnership is expected to last for 25 years. The closing date for this qualification stage is 26 February 2027.
