Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is seeking a professional consultant to provide energy trading advice and tools for the development of an energy trading platform. The project aims to position the company as a key player in South Africa’s reformed electricity market, focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) optimization, Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) evaluation, portfolio optimization, and algorithmic trading. The work will take place over a 12-month period. Key deliverables include the development of trading models, risk management tools, standard operating procedures, and technical reports. The consultant must demonstrate expertise in electricity market simulation, regulatory compliance, and settlement procedures. The tender is issued by Eskom, with a closing date of 17 August 2026.
