Transnet Engineering invites service providers to tender for the assessment, servicing, and repair of air-conditioning units on the Phelophepa Health Trains. The work will be performed at the Phelophepa location, with specific operations based at Salt River. The contract is for a 36-month period on an 'as and when required' basis. Key deliverables include cleaning filters and drain pipes, testing for leaks, regassing systems, and ensuring full mechanical and electrical functionality. All work must be witnessed and signed off by Transnet Engineering personnel, and used remote batteries must be handed over to Transnet stores. A compulsory site briefing is scheduled for 13 October 2026 at 09:00 at the Coach Business Admin Building in Salt River. Bidders must achieve a minimum technical score of 85 points to qualify.
