Transnet National Ports Authority is inviting lease applications for properties located at the Bayview Precinct, Port of Richards Bay. The tender (RCB 10/2026/06) covers a total area of 19,602.31 square meters for a tenure of up to 15 years. The premises are intended for warehouse, equipment, or clean cargo storage activities. Interested parties may attend a non-compulsory briefing session on 21 October 2026, either in person at the Port of Richards Bay or via Microsoft Teams. All requests for clarification must be submitted by 06 November 2026. The final deadline for submitting lease applications is 20 November 2026 at 16:00. The successful bidder will be responsible for all necessary refurbishments and maintenance to ensure the site is fit for purpose. The lease is offered on an 'as is' basis, and applicants must provide a comprehensive business plan, maintenance strategy, and financial projections to support their application.

What you need to qualify

• CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
• Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
• B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
• Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.

Full requirements

• Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or certificate
• Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
• Valid B-BBEE accreditation or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs
• Proof of Public Liability Insurance and Letter of Good Standing
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience with at least 2 reference letters
