Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ E3612GXR) to select strategic partners for the development, financing, and implementation of up to 6GW of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This includes solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage systems. The program will be executed in phases, with an initial portfolio of 2GW solar and 1GW/4GWh storage. Projects will be managed through a special purpose vehicle partnership model. The panel appointment will last for five years, with a tender validity period of four months. The work will be conducted across various sites in South Africa. Interested parties must demonstrate significant technical experience, including the successful execution of at least one 240MW renewable project and an aggregate capacity of 800MW. Financial requirements include a minimum net asset value of R5 billion. A non-compulsory virtual meeting is scheduled for 15 October 2026, and the final submission deadline is 16 November 2026.
