Eskom is seeking 100 panel contractors for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of smart metering infrastructure in the LimLanga cluster. The project includes installing smart meters, data concentrators, ready board retrofits, and pole-top kiosks, as well as decommissioning and disposing of old equipment. The contract duration is 2 years. Work will be performed on an 'as and when required' basis. Contractors must manage data capture using EDA gadgets and ensure all work complies with Eskom’s technical and safety standards. The tender is issued by Eskom Distribution Division. The closing date for submissions is 30 November 2026 at 10:00.

- CIDB grading (Grade 3 Electrical Engineering (Building) (3EB)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
