The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) invites bids for general building maintenance and repairs at various stations and depots in the NGR region. This is a 36-month contract performed on an as-and-when-required basis. The scope includes planned, preventative, and emergency maintenance for building infrastructure, civil works, and structural repairs. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, tools, and materials. Key deliverables include meeting strict emergency response times, submitting signed job cards, and providing photographic evidence of work. All materials used must be SABS approved. Bidders must demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in the construction or building sector.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- CIDB grading (Grade 3 General Building (3GB)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
