Description

Transnet SOC Ltd invites bids for the provision of medical laboratory services for the Phelophepa Health Care Trains I and II. This service is required on an 'as and when needed' basis for a period of three years. The successful service provider will perform a wide range of pathology tests, including hematology, microbiology, and cytology, for patients, staff, and students. The work will take place across all nine provinces of South Africa, requiring the provider to have a national footprint to reach deep rural areas. Key deliverables include the collection and transport of specimens, provision of all necessary medical consumables, and the delivery of test results within strict turnaround times of 12 hours for emergencies and 72 hours for routine tests.
